The Voyager Windvane is a servo pendulum type self-steering. The steering force is created by the flow of water. That energy is transmitted by the pendulum rudder and the lever arm to the wheel or tiller by means of two lines.

The Voyager Windvane is constructed to last. It is strong but light; only 25 kg. It is functional, simple and easy to use. We use the best materials known to marine technology. Our castings are tenzoalloy 713, which is a strong and corrosive resistant aluminum. All castings are CNC machined in our own shop. They are then anodized. Polished and hard anodized 6061 aluminum is used for the windvane's main tubes. Stainless 316 is used for the rudder arm.  For our transmission lines, we use non stretch Kevlar. We supply top quality stainless steel blocks with delrin ball bearings.

The Voyager Windvane is very responsive in light air, but works equally well in strong winds and large waves. It will silently out perform any cockpit autopilot in heavy weather without the battery consumption or the fuel required to run the engine.

Each custom made Voyager Windvane is supplied with 2 windvane blades and one pendulum rudder. Voyager Windvanes are shipped world wide with complete instructions.  The easy installation takes approximately 2 - 4 hours.
