Peter Tietz is proud to announce that Voyager Windvanes has restructured and is growing again.  After moving into larger quarters and increasing production capacity, he has taken on a new partner.  

Jim Whitred, retiring after operating several small quantity metal supply businesses in Canada, took up sailing in 2000 and became an avid sailor.  Peter will continue to manage the production department and Jim will look after sales and service.  Both Jim and Peter continue to stay in touch with serious sailing by working with Offshore Passage Opportunities (www.sailopo.com).

Another Voyager Windvane Completes Transatlantic Crossing

Here is a story that gives you some challenges in sailing towards your golden years!  I met Jack N. at the Toronto International Boatshow. Jack ordered a Voyager Windvane for his Contessa 32. I installed the Vane on his boat, which he then had trucked to Halifax. In June this year Jack and another crewmember sailed the boat from Halifax to Plymouth, England in 23 days, covering approx. 2800 nautical miles! At one time they were battling gale force winds, the Contessa 32 hit 12knots, where they thought it was prudent to deploy a drogue to slow down the boat! Jack reported the Voyager did the steering across the Atlantic and worked great! By the way: Jack is 82 years young! Well done Sailor!!!!
